WAVETALK MARINE SATELLITE TELEPHONE FROM WESTINGHOUSE

The WaveTalk Marine Satellite telephone is similar in many respects to Westinghouse's Fleet Talk Mobile Satellite Telephone except that this model is designed for sea-going users. It is Marine-built and has been tested in heavy seas. WaveTalk is easily installed on a ship and comes complete with all mounting brackets and marine hardware. The antenna can be mounted flush to the deck or on a standard 1-inch marine mount. Long safety-rated antenna cables allow aboveboard flexibility in mounting the lightweight, satellite tracking antenna which is available in medium or high gain models.

Safety-rated antenna cables: low-smoke, low-toxicity, UV protected, and fire-retardant.

Optional Features

The optional features of the WaveTalk model are also the same as for the FleetTalk model (see that write-up for details) with the addition of:

Expanded telephony which also allows for the direct connection of a touch-tone as well as a cordless telephone as an extension, or the connection of a PBX unit, giving multiple standard telephone access.
The SpaceCom 3-Axis Antennae is designed especially for marine use with this device.
