The Inmarsat Fleet F55 global voice, data, fax, and e-mail service from Remote Satellite Systems.

The systems use the Inmarsat Fleet platform, which means that the system can be “always on.” This translates into quick connections and means that you pay for only data transferred – not time online.

The F55 gives you the option of using Fleet's 64 Kbps Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) channel and Mobile Packet Data Service (MPDS). Wavecall F55 voice coverage is global. Fax and data is available with the F55 in the spot beam areas which include the majority of the world's cruising routes and frequently traveled maritime areas.

The F55 comes in a 27" All-white radome. The Inmarsat service, delivers worldwide high-quality connections through either their global or spot beams.

MPDS (Mobile Packet Data Service) you are always online and only charged for the amount of transferred data. MPDS is a very economical and convenient solution for email, small to medium sized data transfers and constant access to Intranet services.

ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) provides you with a 64 kbps dedicated line where you pay per minute. This application is suitable for larger data transfers such as video streaming etc
