MXU 2000

The MXU 2000 is a four channel Satellite Communications System that connects PBXs, public switch telephone networks and telephones to the Iridium global satellite system. The MXU is the perfect solution for organizations that require emergency communications services, communications with remote locations, or their own private communications network.

The MXU greatly enhances the ability of an organization to communicate.

From the most remote spot in the world to your corporate headquarters, the MXU and the Iridium system provide a clear, dependable, easy-to-use communications network.

The MXU is the backbone of the BECoN System (“backup emergency communication network”) that provides government agencies, public safety organizations and NGOs with a turnkey, field deployable, emergency communications network that completely bypasses the traditional communications system.

Corporations can use the MXU for standard communications with remote assets or as a back up voice and data network (and with the MXU as a hub for a private communications network, organizations can often reduce international long distance costs).

When communication is really important, the MXU is the solution!

IMF 1000MK11
True Global Coverage

The Iridium system is the first communication system with true global coverage, which means that no matter where you are and who you want to call, you always have 66 Low Earth Orbit satellites at your disposal. This is not only convenient, but also a crucial safety factor. The highly advanced Iridium IMF 1000 MKII terminal is designed for the harsh environment at sea and is also a cost-effective communication solution.

The IMF 1000 MKII can be operated from:

  • Up to 4 handsets
  • A connected standard analogue telephone
  • A telephone connected to the terminal via a PABX

The Iridium IMF 1000 MKII has a built-in RJ11 port as interface for a PABX or a standard analogue telephone. When connected to a PABX set-up, all the phones in the network will be able to use the Iridium system to receive and make calls. The Iridium IMF 1000 MKII has a data capability of 2.4 kbps and provides access to Iridium's 10 kbps compressed Iridium data service, which is the fastest global satellite service for this size of equipment. The Iridium IMF 1000 MKII handset is easily operated as the terminal works the same way as a cellular phone. The 4-line display / 12 character LCD display presents all the major functions and includes system surveillance and all the usual mobile functions.
