The Radio Antenna Unit (RAU) and Junction Box are mounted at a convenient outdoor location with a clear view of the sky and connect to a variety of available indoor telephone sets using standard telephone cable, thus providing satellite phone service from inside a building.

Once installed, telephone sets connected to the fixed satellite phone system can be operated just like landline telephone sets.
