Vocality V200
Multiplexing, routing and gateway services are all offered by the new Vocality V200 platform.
The Vocality V200 offers redundant power and CPU capabilities, with high density voice and data option cards. The Vocality V200 comprises a high speed chassis into which users install a selection of modules offering different types of connectivity.
The ultimate solution for voice and data networks, the Vocality V200 brings together a decade of experience manufacturing next generation multiplexers and routers for the international communications markets.
Based on the very latest high speed Motorola technology, the Vocality V200 offers a range of new features:
- Scalable connectivity
- Redundancy
- High data rates
- High port density.
Users are now able to deliver either a redundant point-to-point system or a large network system using the same equipment and all supporting digital voice, high speed serial and gigabit Ethernet.
Compatibility with DVB-RCS, Inmarsat BGAN and RB-GAN, DAMA, TDMA and high-speed point-to-point or multi-point SCPC networks allows users to develop the most integrated and bandwidth efficient network topologies.
The Vocality V200 is designed to be compatible with all other Vocality multiplexer and router products. Some features may only become compatible as more feature cards are released. Basic voice, serial data and TCP/IP routing capabilities are cross-platform compatible, from the V25 to the V200.
Scenario - Hub Site, Step Site and Field Office
The multipoint functionality can be exploited to allow users to expand the above "hub" style network giving them the ability to connect two major sites, and onward link a remote major site onto field sites - maybe operating 16 phone circuits and IP over a low bandwidth satellite link.

The 3U rack housing provides more than just the frame into which option cards are installed. The high speed backplane features up to 4 Gigabits of switching capability giving the Vocality V200 near unlimited the long term network expansion possibilities.

Combining Satellite Optimised TCP/IP Router and Chassis Control
At least one CPU Card is required in a high speed chassis. Each card offers serial data up to 10Mbps, together with two TCP/IP ports offering IP aggregate, tributary or future VoIP connectivity.

 Redundant Power
When it comes to reliability, it is the Power Supply that is often the cause of hardware failures. Not only is the PSU Card highly specified, but it also works in conjunction with the Vocality V200 Chassis to offer fully transparent auto-switching redundancy.

Four or Twelve Channels of High Speed Serial Data
High speed serial data ports to be freely configured as tributary or aggregate ports. Not only does the Serial Data Card operate up to 10Mbps on each port but it also can operate at very low data rates for legacy support.

Next Generation SIP Functionality for Secure and Clear VoIP Services
Vocality V50 and Vocality V100 hardware platforms are built such that they can be upgraded in the future to support SIP based VoIP services, and the Vocality V200 offers the ability to use Vocality products in the field, with VoIP for connectivity to a low cost voice gateway at the hub site.
