The Marco cards offer complete plug & play solutions for mobile communication with portable computers, including all necessary drivers and Hermstedt's leading multi-protocol file transfer software Leonardo Internet Express (for Macintosh) or Leonardo Expresss (for Windows).

The Marco cards achieve fast and reliable ISDN communication with digital remote sites, and also with ana-logue sites in the case of Marco SL. Users can exchange data with two different partners at the same time or bundle both data channels to a 128 kbit/s high speed connection, e.g. to save time when transferring larger files.

In addition to automatic file transfer protocol detection on incoming calls, there is no need to configure separate numbers (MSN) for different remote sites, which simplifies administration and makes receiving calls much simpler.

Naturally, Marco cards do not only support file transfer, but also IP applications, Internet access and remote access. Marco SL, with its built-in data/fax modem, facilitates analogue data communication up to 33.6 kbit/s, as well as fax at 14.4 kbit/s. Being fully compatible with Windows, the Marco SL also supports CAPI applications.

For Windows and Macintosh
Marco SL - the only active ISDN PC card on the market not requiring an external adaptor - is ideal for all portable computers with a Type II PC card slot, be it a Windows notebook or an Apple PowerBook.

Integrated Fax / Data modem
Thanks to its built-in fax/data modem, Marco SL facilitates analogue data communication at up to 33.6 kbit/s and can send and receive faxes according to Group 3 standard with up to 14.4 kbit/s.

LED status information
With the two LED indicators, the user is con-stantly informed about the status of the ISDN line as well as the computer interface.

Intelligent AutoPort driver
Under Windows, the Hermstedt AutoPort driver makes RAS and Internet dial-up even easier. Travellers, often faced with varying communication facilities, now no longer need to change the configuration each time they use a different communication method. The user simply activates the DUN connection, AutoPort checks which communication hardware and channels are available, for example ISDN, analogue or even GSM, and automatically establishes the connection using the available and/or preferred resources.
