SECURES VOICE AND
DATA COMMUNICATIONS

Secure communications in a deployed environment is the cornerstone of KlasRouter's presence in the First-In Communications industry. On the black side of a Type-1 encryption device, KlasRouter can be used to double encrypt Type-1 traffic with the VPN gateway or conduct up to four encrypted voice calls using the Secure Voice Multiplexer. KlasRouter supports the IPSec and GRE standards for VPN tunneling and is interoperable with Cisco-based networks. For secure voice communications, KlasRouter works with FNBDT devices, such as a STE, as well as STU-IIIs to encrypt voice traffic with as little as 6 Kb/s of bandwidth per call.

DESIGNED FOR FIRST-IN COMMUNICATORS

KlasRouter is the only router that exclusively targets first-in communications. It has the industry's smallest form factor and weighs less than two pounds! Additionally, users can take advantage of KlasRouter's easy-to-use web-based GUI for quick set-up or the practical menu-driven CLI for advanced configurations. There's no need to learn complicated commands or confusing syntax, KlasRouter is ready to configure right out of the box. Finally, an IT support staff can pre-configure KlasRouter using any number of stored profiles that can be tailored to specific situations and loaded within seconds in a field environment.

SUPPORTS ANY WAN INFRASTRUCTURE

With dozens of possible WAN infrastructure combinations, KlasRouter is the one-stop router to accommodate them all. KlasRouter has an RS-530 Serial WAN port for use with the KlasTA over ISDN or with encryption devices, such as the KIV-7 or OMNI. Additionally, KlasRouter supports emerging IP-centric WAN infrastructures with its Ethernet WAN port. Now First-In Communicators can take advantage of the higher bandwidths offered by VSAT, BGAN or broadband Internet connections combined with newer IP-based Type-1 encryption devices. This flexibility not only offers redundancy, it allows users to migrate to more modern WAN technologies while still protecting the investment of their legacy equipment.
